ALEX IKEDO DUVALL
Alex Ikedo Duvall grew up in New York City. While attending college in Syracuse, NY. He came out and shortly after became a drag performer which helped cover school expenses. He became a featured cast member of Steven Minichiello’s “House of La Cage” back in NYC. There he closed the show impersonating the great Chita Rivera, eventually a photo shoot was done in her dressing room backstage of “Kiss of the Spider Woman”. This led to being an extra on the set of “Too Wong Foo, Thanks for everything, Julie Newmar”. That experience in film sparked a new interest but not in acting it was in writing.
Even after the show ended, he began training in off road cycling races with the Fast and Fabulous group and earned a spot with Team New York for Gay Games Amsterdam 1998.
With a big move to California to pursue a dream he started taking courses in screenplay writing and that is how Misguided Illusions was created.

MISGUIDED ILLUSIONS
Illusions protect us—until they don’t.
In a city that worships shine, one whispered secret slips and fractures an entire world. Ties of loyalty begin to twist. A smile hides a deeper wound. A promise becomes a trap.
Misguided Illusions pulls readers into a refined yet ruthless sphere where silence covers betrayal, and truth stalks the edges of every room. As the façade thins, the past resurfaces with teeth. The final reckoning forces a simple, impossible question: what are you willing to lose to be free?
